Associate Financial Advisor

Associate Financial AdvisorThis position works in tandem with a Financial Advisor to maintain client relationships. The goal of this position is to offer custom advice in areas such as investment management and financial planning. The Associate Financial Advisor will be responsible for maintaining ongoing communications with clients, meeting preparation, creation of financial plans, and other administrative tasks relating to clients.Why Work Here?Competitive payFlexible working options12 paid holidays & 15 days of PTO to startCompany paid STD, LTD & life insuranceMedical, dental & vision plansHealth savings accounts & flex spending accountsFREE financial planning & tax preparation servicesContinuing education fundingWork Schedule:Monday - FridayHybridResponsibilities:Participate in client meetings in the appropriate capacity which could include but is not limited to: taking notes, creating priority lists, drafting communications, delegating assignments, documenting history, quarterly calls with clientsManage the planning processTransition into lead advisor for certain clients when development has reached appropriate levelParticipate in and conduct client reviews and prepare plan revisionsFollow up on client issues and communicate on a timely basisPlace trades in client accounts according to BFG models on a timely basisManage processes through SalesforceServe as back up to other team members as neededLearn and utilize all firm programsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.2-3 years of financial services industry experience, preferably with some involvement in a similar roleSeries 65 license or CFP requiredAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from other staff, clients, and the general publicExcellent computer skills with advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with Salesforce and eMoney is a plusAbility to seek out solutions and solve problemsHighly organized with a strong attention to detail and accuracyHeadquartered in Plymouth, MN, BFG has expanded to 10 other locations throughout the U.S. including, 4 more in Minnesota, 2 in Arizona, 1 in Vermont, 1 in Maine and 2 in Illinois.
