Controls Technician

We are seeking a skilled Controls / UMCS Technician to support a Army program with maintenance for UMCS, BAS, HVAC controls, and related low-voltage electronic systems supporting government facilities. The technician will perform hands-on troubleshooting, testing, inspection, maintenance, and corrective work on control systems. This position is intended for an experienced field technician capable of working independently after completing required site-specific training. Key Responsibilities: Perform hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance of UMCS, BAS, HVAC controls, and associated systems. Diagnose control system faults and determine appropriate corrective actions. Inspect controllers, sensors, actuators, wiring, relays, communication components, and other low-voltage equipment. Interpret control drawings, electrical schematics, sequence-of-operation documentation, and technical manuals. Perform functional testing and verification of control system operation. Support commissioning and system startup activities as required. Identify system deficiencies and generate recommendations for corrective maintenance. Assist with preventive maintenance and condition assessments. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in controls, BAS, UMCS, HVAC controls, electronics, or a closely related technical discipline. Demonstrated hands-on experience troubleshooting low-voltage control systems. Working knowledge of HVAC control systems and building automation. Ability to read electrical schematics, control diagrams, and wiring diagrams. Experience troubleshooting sensors, actuators, controllers, relays, and related control equipment. Ability to diagnose system issues and perform root-cause troubleshooting.
