Sterile Processing Tech (SPT)

This position is for the first shift, with hours from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and occasional scheduled holidays.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform decontamination of all items, including drills, Davinci systems, and scopes.
• Oversee the sterilization process using Sterrad and steam methods.
• Maintain high-level disinfection (HLD) procedures and have scope experience.
• Manage sterile storage effectively.
• Act as an OR liaison when needed.
• Utilize the Censitrac tracking system for inventory management.
• Move case carts, separate dirty items, and ensure case cart needs are filled for upcoming surgical cases.
• Respond to OR calls for both surgical floors as required.

Qualifications:

• Certification from either CBSPD or CRCST through HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) is required.

Eligibility Restrictions:

• Previous permanent staff and return travelers are not eligible for this position.
• Travelers who have reached the one-year maximum contract limit are not eligible for extensions or future assignments.
• Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the job location are not eligible. Current contractors within the radius may complete their existing contracts and extend up to the one-year maximum contract limit.
