$120k - $140kVertex Partnership Academies
About Vertex Partnership Academies
Vertex Partnership Academies is a public charter high school in the Bronx built around a simple belief: students deserve both a rigorous academic education and meaningful preparation for life after graduation.
As Vertex enters its next stage of growth, the school is evolving beyond the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme and building a more flexible, sustainable, and impactful approach to career readiness. Our goal is to ensure every student graduates with authentic experiences, professional networks, industry exposure, and a clear pathway to college, career, military service, entrepreneurship, or apprenticeship.
The Director of Career Programs & Partnerships will lead that work.
This is a unique opportunity for a builder—someone who can develop systems, cultivate partnerships, create opportunities for students, and establish Vertex as a leading model for career-connected education in New York City.
Position Summary
The Director of Career Programs & Partnerships serves as the strategic leader responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving Vertex's career programming.
The Director will lead the transition to a broader, more sustainable model of career preparation centered on employer partnerships, internships, industry exposure, credential attainment, and workforce readiness.
This leader will cultivate relationships with employers, universities, healthcare systems, technology companies, nonprofits, workforce organizations, and civic institutions to create meaningful opportunities for students. S/he will oversee career pathways, internship programming, work-based learning opportunities, industry certifications, and postsecondary transition initiatives while ensuring strong alignment with Vertex's mission and academic program.
The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with operational excellence, balancing long-term program development with day-to-day execution.
