Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to Medical Surgical patients, ensuring adherence to hospital protocols and patient safety standards. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to deliver quality care and promotes patient well-being throughout shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' conditions and document clinical information accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
• Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment.
• Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and documentation.
• Adhere to all compliance and safety regulations, including certification requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid Ohio Registered Nurse license in hand or compact license issued after 01/01/23.
• Minimum of 18 months of recent, perm Medical Surgical nursing experience.
• Active certifications including ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate with passing scores.
• Successful completion of ECG Rhythm Recognition Test and SafeMedicate assessments.
• Two recent professional references from managers, ANMs, supervisors, or directors in the specialty.
• Ability to pass pre-employment assessments, including BG review, drug screening, and background check.
