Key Responsibilities

• Perform Nuclear Medicine imaging and therapeutic procedures, including scheduling and pre-procedure patient preparation
• Calibrate and draw up radiopharmaceutical materials for patient administration; calculate radioactive decay and results of patient studies
• Operate all imaging and auxiliary equipment according to written procedures and protocols, demonstrating proficiency on all equipment
• Practice and maintain radiation safety procedures pertaining to the preparation, handling, and administration of radiopharmaceuticals
• Monitor patients physiologically during nuclear medicine procedures, maintain IV line proficiency, and document pertinent clinical history and symptoms
• Maintain inventory of supplies, prepare and maintain records for radiopharmaceutical receiving, dispensing, and disposal, and submit nuclear charge tickets at the close of each business day

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology
• Current certification from ARRT, NMTCB, or ASCP
• Active California State License in Nuclear Medicine Technology
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 1–3 years of Nuclear Medicine Technology experience
• Familiarity with medications commonly used in nuclear medicine procedures
