Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

Medical Surgical Registered Nurse – MED-SURG

Schedule: Variable Shift - Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first full week of orientation. Availability for day or night shifts required.

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 15 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements:

• Active state license required by the start of the assignment.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical or higher level of care.
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR and related medical equipment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to adult patients in a medical-surgical setting.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to other units as necessary, including surgical pediatrics or transitional care units.

Compliance / Notes:

• Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for employee health appointment.
• No requests for time off during holidays will be accepted.
• Professional nursing attire required; no specific scrub colors mandated. Closed-toe shoes are necessary.
