Job Details Geocomp’s GeoTesting Express (GTX) is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our Laboratory Team in Atlanta, Georgia. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to launch their career in geotechnical testing. You will gain hands‑on experience with state‑of‑the‑art automated testing equipment, advanced processes, and real‑world projects that support site characterization, geotechnical design, quality control, and performance assessment. Key Responsibilities Perform laboratory testing on soil, rock, and geosynthetics Collect, record, and report test data with accuracy and attention to detail Assist with laboratory projects and daily operations as needed Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment Uphold high standards of quality, safety, and process compliance Qualifications Required Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment Organized, adaptable, and willing to learn new laboratory techniques No prior laboratory experience required — full training will be provided Preferred Coursework or exposure to earth sciences, geology, civil, or environmental engineering is a plus (not required) Physical Demands & Working Conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, and stand for extended periods at a lab bench or workstation Laboratory environment: standard indoor lab setting Field testing (occasional): typical construction site conditions Benefits Package 401(k) with company match Comprehensive health insurance Health savings account (HSA) Paid time off (PTO) Professional development assistanceEmployee referral program We see things differently.
