About the role We are seeking Welding Assistants to support our fabrication team with daily shop operations. This role is ideal for individuals with hands‑on welding experience gained through personal projects, informal training, or trade education who are eager to grow their skills. Responsibilities include assisting with material preparation, equipment setup, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Candidates should have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and willingness to learn in a team‑focused setting. What you'll do Assist welders with preparing materials, setting up equipment, and supporting daily fabrication tasks Measure, cut, and position materials for welding and assembly Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Operate basic tools and equipment under supervision Follow all safety procedures and support the team as needed Required Qualifications Basic understanding of welding concepts (MIG, TIG, or stick preferred) Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (standing, lifting, bending) Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Hands‑on welding experience through personal projects, apprenticeships, or work experience Completion of or enrollment in a welding or trade program Familiarity with shop tools and fabrication environments Requirements Based in the United States Willing to work on‑site in Austin, TX What We Offer Competitive rate starting at $18/hr. + OT eligible Paid Time Off Additional Information Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Persons in compliance with 10 CFR Part 810 and may not hold non‑compliant foreign citizenships.
