In this role, you will help prepare nutritious, appetizing meals for our residents while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment. You will play an important part in ensuring residents receive meals that meet both their dietary needs and personal preferences.Assist the Dietary Manager with meal preparation and food productionPrepare and serve meals following approved menus and recipesEnsure meals are prepared according to physician-ordered dietary restrictions and special dietsMonitor food quality, presentation, and portion sizesMaintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen and dining areasFollow all food safety, infection control, and sanitation guidelinesStore food and supplies properly and safelyAssist with meal service and tray preparation as neededWash dishes and clean kitchen equipment as assignedHelp ensure residents receive meals that meet their nutritional needsWork collaboratively with dietary staff and other departments to provide excellent resident carePreferred Candidates Will Have:Reliable transportationAt least 18 years of agePrevious cooking or food service experience, preferably in a healthcare, rehabilitation, or long-term care settingKnowledge of dietary restrictions and therapeutic dietsCompassion for the geriatric populationStrong teamwork and communication skillsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentWhat Makes You a Great Fit:Friendly and dependableTakes pride in preparing quality mealsUnderstands the importance of food safety and sanitationEnjoys serving others and making a differenceTeam-oriented with a positive attitudeCommitted to providing excellent service to residentsWe are an equal opportunity employer.
