Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist

Location: Plantation, FL

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM

Job Description: The Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist assists a surgeon before, during, and after surgery under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse according to accepted clinical standards of care. This role is essential in ensuring that surgical procedures are conducted smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments for open heart surgeries.
• Assist surgeons during a variety of cardiovascular procedures including CABG, MVR, AVR, and others.
• Maintain a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures.
• Provide lunch relief in various service lines as needed.
• Handle documentation as required by clinical standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years current experience in an acute CVOR setting.
• Ability to scrub assist in open heart cases.
• Preferred experience in minimally invasive cardiac procedures.
