Locum Tenens Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Oregon Assignment: Locum Tenens Start Date: ASAP Setting: Inpatient Opportunity Overview We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a long-term locum tenens assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong cardiothoracic/cardiovascular surgery experience and be comfortable serving as a first assist, rounding on inpatient patients, and providing clinic support as needed . Schedule Approximately 4 shifts per week / 10-hour shifts Anticipated hours: 7:00 AM 5:00 PM Exact schedule to be determined Responsibilities First assist during cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical procedures Perform vein harvesting required Radial artery harvesting experience preferred Inpatient rounding and patient management Clinic coverage as needed Support cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgery cases Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, nursing staff, and the multidisciplinary care team Document patient care in Epic EMR Requirements Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Active Oregon license Prior cardiothoracic/cardiovascular surgery experience Vein harvesting experience required First-assist experience Current BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association Epic experience preferred Radial artery harvesting experience preferred Additional Details Reason for coverage: Vacancy Credentialing: Approximately 60 days from submission of a complete application Vaccination: Preferred; waivers will be considered Assignment length: ASAP through approximately 1 year Long-term locum opportunity with potential for consistent scheduling Why Consider This Opportunity?
