About the Position

Job Title: CVICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required License: Active Oregon RN license required prior to start Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CCRN preferred Must-Have: Strong cardiovascular experience needed. Experience with telemetry required. Epic charting experience required. Description: The role involves caring for patients aged 16 years and older with primary cardiac diagnoses. The unit provides care for conditions including heart failure, post-cardiac arrest, and cardiothoracic surgery. Nurses will work with patients requiring IABP therapy, Impella insertion, post PCI, pacemaker insertion, and more. The unit consists of a blended environment including cardiovascular intensive care and cardiovascular intermediate care. The multidisciplinary team focuses on providing high-quality patient care. The unit has been recognized as one of the nation's top cardiovascular hospitals. Nurses will receive training in various cardiovascular intensive care procedures and protocols. Continued education and advanced certification are encouraged and supported. Candidates must demonstrate skills in arterial line management, central line care, and ventilator management among others. This role requires flexibility to float within the facility as needed.
