Emergency Room Technician I Full- time 1p-1a

Job Overview Under general supervision, performs operational tasks related to the admission of inpatients and outpatients coming to the Emergency Department of GBMC. Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced atmosphere while maintaining GBMC values for initial customer service contact. Escort patients as necessary to the ED from the general waiting room and to radiological areas. Replenish clinical supplies and check clinical carts as assigned. Participate in promoting efficient flow of a multi‑unit environment. Under general supervision of the RN or MD, provide clinical support to unit staff in the care of patients and families. Requirements Education: High school diploma or GED. Graduate from an accredited CNA program and from an accredited Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Cardiac Rescue Technician (CRT), or Paramedic program. Licensure: Current and valid CNA license; current and valid Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Cardiac Rescue Technician (CRT), or Paramedic license; current and valid CPR certification. Experience: Minimum one year in a hospital or related setting. Skills: Thorough knowledge of triage criteria; customer service ability; courteous and compassionate interpersonal skills; problem‑solving; multitasking in stressful situations; computer proficiency; clear understanding of role expectations and scope of practice; ability to partner with RN/MD staff; knowledge of medical terminology preferred; basic knowledge of pre‑hospital care and management of patients; basic first‑aid. Salary Pay Range: $17.64 – $27.48. Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
