About the Position

Job Title

Ambulatory OR Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Charleston, SC

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12s (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) or 4x10s (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) | One late week per four-week period to complete cases | No weekends | No on-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub technologist duties within a 9-OR ambulatory operating room environment
• Support surgical cases across a variety of specialties within the perioperative setting

• Float within the perioperative facility as needed to meet operational demands
• May be required to precept care team members in the operating room
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November) if required

Required Qualifications

• Active NBSTSA certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical technologist experience required
• Radiation badge must be provided by the traveler's parent/staffing company
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in one or more of the following specialties: Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, or Surgical Oncology
• Prior experience in an ambulatory or outpatient surgical setting
