Maintenance SupervisorReports to: Director of FacilitiesLocation: Must travel to multiple locations throughout Brooklyn required.Schedule: Full-time (Requires on-call, emergency response) Ensures safe, clean, and operational physical spaces for staff and clients throughSalary Range: $66,300- $66,300BCS is a 160 year old Social Services organization serving more than 20,000 people in 42+ programs throughout Brooklyn.Position DescriptionThe Maintenance Supervisor works under the general supervision of the Director of Facilities. This position is primarily responsible for the oversight of maintenance and custodial staff across several program locations throughout the borough. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the implementation of standard operating procedures, building maintenance, preventative maintenance schedules, repairs, and housekeeping to ensure the safety and comfort of the staff and clients and to maintain the integrity of the program's physical spaces. The Maintenance Supervisor provides on-call coverage for overnight and weekends. This position will work in cooperation with the Facility Coordinator, Program Directors and Division Directors.Key ResponsibilitiesStaff Leadership: Schedule, train, and conduct performance reviews for maintenance technicians and custodians.Operations & Repairs: Perform and oversee skilled trade work (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and equipment repair).Facility Inspections: Conduct comprehensive semiannual building inspections to identify hazards and required repairs.Compliance & Records: Maintain HVAC, fire alarm, elevator, and preventative maintenance logs and service records.Budget & Inventory: Estimate labor/material costs, purchase supplies, manage inventory, and assess vendor contracts.Logistics: Move furniture/equipment and drive light trucks for supply pickups.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: High School diploma or equivalentTrade Experience: 6-10 years in skilled trades (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC).Management Experience: 3+ years managing facilities and staff.Physical: Ability to climb stairs and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Clearances: Must pass background checks.BCS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
