Volunteer Opportunity: Technical Support Gaithersburg HELP is an all‑volunteer 501(c)(3) non‑profit organization providing emergency food and infant supplies, transportation and financial assistance for medical prescriptions and other emergency needs. Gaithersburg HELP is a dedicated, all‑volunteer organization that provides essential support to local communities. We are seeking a volunteer to assist our technical needs. If you live in Montgomery County, Maryland and are interested in helping our communities, please contact us. This is an on‑demand opportunity involving technical tasks with systems and applications we currently use for our daily operation. It would ideally suit someone with experience or interest in Microsoft Excel (including formulas and macros), VBA, Google Apps Script, Git and version control, Google Maps API, ArcGIS, Basic networking, Windows computer management and Voicemail and mailbox administration. While we understand that not every candidate will have expertise in all these areas, we highly value those who have technical and programming skills and are willing to learn. Our goal is to find a volunteer who has technical knowledge and is responsive with good communication skills. Your support in this capacity would significantly contribute to the success of our programs and have a meaningful impact on the communities we serve. Please note the tasks of this volunteer position are not 100% virtual. It requires occasional onsite tech help, so we are seeking candidates living in Montgomery County, Maryland.
