Ortho Neuro MRI is hiring a full-time MRI / X-ray Technologist for our outpatient orthopedic and spine imaging center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

This is a Monday–Friday, daytime-only position with no nights, no weekends, and no call . You will work in a focused outpatient setting with stable hours, strong pay, and direct access to a board-certified radiologist Medical Director.

This position is ideal for a technologist who has real MRI experience, is comfortable performing diagnostic X-ray, and wants a better quality-of-life schedule than hospital or ER-based imaging.

About the Job

You will perform orthopedic and spine MRI exams and diagnostic X-rays in a small outpatient imaging center focused on musculoskeletal and spine care.

MRI exams include spine, shoulder, knee, wrist, ankle, foot, hip, and elbow imaging. Our current MRI system is an Esaote S-Scan 0.25T low-field MRI , with potential use of a 1.5T GE trailer or future in-house high-field MRI unit if available.

You will also perform diagnostic X-rays of the spine and extremities and help maintain a smooth, patient-centered imaging workflow.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality orthopedic and spine MRI exams
• Perform diagnostic X-ray exams of the spine and extremities
• Conduct thorough MRI safety screening
• Maintain strict MRI Zone III / Zone IV access control
• Position, educate, and reassure patients
• Produce diagnostic-quality images consistently
• Document exams accurately in EMR and PACS
• Use EXA PACS and RadWorx to retrieve, route, and manage imaging studies
• Prepare studies for radiologist interpretation
• Support scheduling, patient confirmations, and patient preparation
• Help keep the imaging day running smoothly in a small outpatient practice

Full training will be provided for our PACS, workflow systems, and practice-specific protocols.

Modern Imaging Workflow

After training, you may also assist with modern imaging-reporting workflows, including AI-enhanced reporting support, structured PowerPoint-style reports, and video-style report deliverables.

You do not need prior AI workflow experience. We are looking for someone who is curious, adaptable, and open to learning.

Required Qualifications

• ARRT-registered Radiologic Technologist — RT(R) in good standing
• X-ray certified and legally eligible to perform diagnostic X-ray in South Carolina
• Formal MRI training and real clinical MRI experience
• Ability to perform MRI safety screening and follow MRI safety protocols
• BLS / CPR certification, or willingness to obtain shortly after hire
• Ability to work independently in a small outpatient environment
• Comfort performing both MRI and X-ray duties

Preferred Qualifications

• Orthopedic, MSK, spine, sports medicine, or outpatient imaging experience
• ARRT RT(MR) certification
• Interest in earning ARRT RT(MR) with employer sponsorship
• Low-field MRI experience
• High-field MRI experience with willingness to adapt to low-field MRI
• PACS / EMR experience
• Interest in workflow optimization and modern imaging technology
