We are seeking a Data Engineer to join a high-performing team focused on developing and implementing data transformation pipelines within a modern data platform environment. This role requires a highly skilled engineer with strong Python expertise and the ability to work across the full data lifecycle, from ingestion and transformation to UI development and user interaction. The ideal candidate will bring experience integrating external systems, building scalable ETL pipelines, and translating user needs into technical solutions. ________________________________________ In This Role, You’ll: • Develop and implement data transformation pipelines • Integrate external systems via APIs, parsing responses into usable data objects • Design and develop user interfaces and custom functions using TypeScript • Build and maintain applications and data workflows • Conduct code reviews, solution brainstorming, and UI design sessions • Perform Tier 2 triage, translating issues into actionable technical requirements • Assess impacts of changes and enhancements on existing data environments • Develop tools, services, and code to support data engineering activities across diverse datasets • Execute data ingestion and movement of structured and unstructured data • Analyze source data formats and collaborate with stakeholders to define optimal transformations • Build and maintain ETL pipelines, including enhancements and operational support • Develop solutions for data extraction, transformation, and loading into enterprise and standalone data models • Create and maintain technical documentation, including ETL mappings, code usage guides, and access instructions ________________________________________ You’ll Succeed Here If You Have: • 3-5+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering roles • Strong proficiency in Python • Experience building and maintaining ETL/data pipelines • Experience working with APIs and data integration • Proficiency in TypeScript for building custom functions and UI components • Strong ability to analyze data formats and implement transformations • Experience working with both structured and unstructured data • Ability to communicate effectively and translate requirements into technical solutions • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills ________________________________________ Bonus Points If You Have: • Experience performing customer-facing triage and support • Experience working in data-intensive environments • Familiarity with data governance and enterprise data platforms • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams ________________________________________ Why QSSHire?
