Utility Worker
Location: Olivehurst, CA Pay Rate: $20.00/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Utility Worker for the Olivehurst Public Utility District. This entry-level position will assist with the operation, maintenance, repair, and construction of District water and wastewater systems and facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with maintaining domestic water systems, including pumps, motors, controls, pipelines, fire hydrants, meters, and related equipment
- Install new water services and water laterals
- Read water meters
- Assist with wastewater systems, lift stations, and sewer lines
- Perform basic plumbing, mechanical, and maintenance tasks
- Operate hand tools and equipment safely
- Assist with facility and grounds maintenance as needed
- Follow safety procedures and complete assigned tasks
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid California Driver's License required
- Previous experience in utilities, construction, plumbing, maintenance, or related fields preferred
- Ability to work outdoors and perform physical labor
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Dependable and able to work well with a team
