About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Acute Care - Medical Surgical Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 1 year of experience required with at least 1 travel assignment License: Active RN License required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS (both must be AHA) Must-Have: 1 year of acute care experience Description: Strict radius policy in place from the traveler's driver's license to facility. Experience in a medical surgical unit is essential. The unit has a total of 44 beds and approximately 40 staff members. Nurse-patient ratios generally range from 1:5, possibly 1:6 for both day and night shifts. Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred, but not mandatory. CNA support is available with a ratio of 1:8, generally 1:10. Shifts run from 6:45 AM to 7:15 AM for 12 hours. Weekend work is required every other weekend. Holidays will be required as needed. Scrub color is Caribbean Blue. Telemetry monitoring is done on a different unit. Nurses may be required to float to all acute care and cardio units. General orientation lasts for 1 week, which includes EMR training. Floor-specific orientation is 2 days. The facility is located in a region with a population of approximately 80,000, providing access to various amenities. Housing options are available in gated, safe, and clean properties.
