Electronics Technician

Electronics Technician II (S)
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join the Logistics team.
Key Responsibilities
Performs advanced installation, diagnosis, calibration, and repair on complex electronic, electrical, and telecommunication systems.
Experience and Skills
Experience using standard test equipment to diagnose and repair electronic components.
Ability to read and understand schematic drawings and wiring diagrams.
Position/Physical Requirements
Typical work schedule: Monday – Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm

Qualified recommended applicant(s) must undergo and successfully pass:
- Criminal Background Investigation
- Drug Screening Test
Minimum Education and Experience
Associate's degree in electronics from an appropriately accredited institution AND two years of progressive experience in the repair and maintenance of complex electronic systems including some responsibility for the design of electronic apparatus; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Based on the nature of work performed, may require appropriate licensure by the governing board or commission.
