Location: Ashar's Kitchen

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday–Saturday (6 Days per Week)

Hours: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Compensation: Competitive Salary pay (based on experience)

Ashar's Kitchen is a family-owned Pakistani restaurant committed to serving authentic cuisine and providing exceptional hospitality. We are looking for a detail-oriented and trustworthy Bookkeeper/Accountant to support the financial operations of our growing business.

Position Summary

The Bookkeeper/Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing daily bookkeeping tasks, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the restaurant's financial information is organized and up to date. The ideal candidate has strong accounting knowledge, is highly organized, and can work independently while supporting ownership with financial reporting and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks .
• Record daily sales, expenses, deposits, and vendor payments.
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Assist with payroll preparation and maintain payroll records.
• Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
• Monitor cash flow and identify discrepancies.
• Organize and maintain financial files and supporting documentation.
• Assist with budgeting and expense tracking.
• Work with the company's CPA during month-end, year-end, and tax preparation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant is required.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
• Must be fluent in both English and Urdu to communicate effectively with ownership, vendors, and team members.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while working independently.
