Your Role and Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and addressing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in conjunction with physicians or autonomously (depending on your credentials)
• Providing education to patients and their families regarding prevention, wellness, and disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapies within your scope of practice
• Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic illness management
• Cooperating with multidisciplinary teams to provide seamless, holistic care
• Accurately and thoroughly documenting patient interactions in electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Background

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Needed

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Oklahoma
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or a similar specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain them within 90 days)
