Private waterfront estate in Greenwich, CT. 25 acres with a private freshwater lake. Newly constructed 16,000 sq ft residence. Family home with children.

The Position

Full-time, Monday–Friday, on-site with flexibility. This is a hands-on, outdoor-focused position overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and mechanical systems of the property and grounds for an active family household.

Responsibilities

● Oversee all property maintenance, mechanicals, and systems (HVAC, generators, irrigation, pool/lake equipment, etc.)

● Supervise and direct two on-site gardeners

● Manage vendor relationships — scheduling, quality control, and invoicing for landscapers, contractors, and service providers

● Track projects and maintenance using property management software/apps

● Conduct regular property walkthroughs and proactively flag issues before they become problems, with attention to safety around children (lake, grounds, equipment)

● Coordinate seasonal grounds work, including leaf pickup and snow removal

● Manage hurricane and severe weather preparedness — securing property, equipment, and structures ahead of storms, and coordinating post-storm cleanup

● Maintain detailed logs, schedules, and documentation for all property systems and vendor work

● Serve as the point person for the family regarding property needs

Requirements

● Prior experience managing a large private estate or comparable property, ideally for a family with children

● Strong mechanical aptitude, comfortable troubleshooting building and grounds systems

● Tech-savvy, comfortable with scheduling/vendor management software and digital communication

● Proven vendor management and negotiation skills

● Highly organized and detail-oriented

● Professional demeanor and discretion

● Comfortable working primarily outdoors in all seasons

● Clear spoken English required; Spanish language skills a plus.

● Valid driver's license

Compensation

● $200,000–$250,000 base salary
