Overview As a Senior Account Supervisor , you will serve as the senior strategic lead across a portfolio of healthcare client accounts, acting as a trusted advisor to clients while driving integrated communications programs that deliver measurable results. You will oversee account strategy, financial performance, and team leadership, ensuring exceptional client service while contributing to agency growth. This role is ideal for a seasoned agency professional who excels at building long-term client partnerships, leading high-performing teams, and delivering strategic healthcare communications solutions. You'll collaborate closely with senior leadership on agency initiatives, business development, and account expansion opportunities. Key Responsibilities Strategic Client Leadership Serve as the senior strategic lead across multiple healthcare and life sciences client accounts, providing high-level communications counsel and trusted partnership. Develop long-term account strategies aligned with client business objectives and identify opportunities for organic account growth. Lead executive-level client meetings, strategic planning sessions, and annual business reviews. Anticipate client needs, proactively address challenges, and ensure consistently exceptional client service. Partner with agency leadership to strengthen client relationships and drive long-term account retention. Account & Program Oversight Oversee the successful execution of integrated communications programs across multiple accounts, ensuring strategic alignment, quality, timelines, and profitability. Direct cross-functional teams across public relations, digital, content, creative, medical, and events to deliver best-in-class client solutions. Provide senior oversight on project scopes, resource allocation, risk management, and workflow optimization. Ensure all deliverables meet agency standards, client expectations, and industry compliance requirements. Strategic Communications & Reputation Management Lead the development of integrated communications strategies supporting product launches, corporate reputation, disease awareness, thought leadership, and advocacy initiatives. Provide senior guidance on media relations strategies, executive visibility, crisis communications, and stakeholder engagement. Oversee the creation and review of high-quality communications materials, ensuring strategic messaging and scientific accuracy. Analyze campaign performance, present executive-level recommendations, and identify opportunities for continuous optimization. Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop Account Supervisors, Senior Account Executives, Account Executives, and junior team members. Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture focused on professional growth, accountability, and excellence. Oversee staffing plans, resource allocation, and workload management across client accounts. Support talent recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and career development initiatives. Financial Management & Business Development Own the financial health of client accounts, including forecasting, budgeting, revenue management, profitability, and resource planning. Ensure scopes of work are appropriately managed and identify opportunities to expand client partnerships through additional services. Play a key role in agency business development efforts by leading proposal development, participating in pitch presentations, and contributing to new business strategy. Partner with senior leadership to drive agency growth and strengthen existing client relationships. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. 7-9 years of agency experience, preferably within healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences communications. Demonstrated success leading multiple high-profile client accounts and providing senior-level strategic communications counsel. Proven experience managing integrated communications programs, account finances, and cross-functional agency teams. Strong leadership experience with direct management, coaching, and mentoring of account teams. Excellent strategic thinking, client relationship management, presentation, and communication skills. Strong commercial acumen with experience managing account profitability, forecasting, and identifying opportunities for organic business growth.
