Nurse Educator

Collaborates with the health care team to ensure safe, effective, evidence-based and quality patient care Supports patient care by working with the Senior Administrator/Department Director and Clinic Managers to provide strategies for clinic coverage when needs arise Mentors staff in ongoing development of clinical competencies and professional behaviors and communication Assesses clinic and individual learning needs, considering generational and cultural differences Implements alternative and varied teaching strategies to meet learner needs Ensures documentation of orientation and other educational activities and that employee files meet hospital and regulatory requirements Facilitates ongoing clinic education and professionalism through in-services and CEU opportunities Promotes national certification and supports development of professional portfolios Models evidence-based practice and participates in development and review of policies and procedures Organizes new employee orientation by scheduling preceptors and times, conducting intermittent follow-up, and overseeing orientation and competency Supports performance improvement initiatives and educates and facilitates methodologies such as PDCA and small tests of change Performs the professional, clinical and/or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department Requirements High School Graduate Bachelor Degree Nursing 2 or more years ambulatory clinic experience Must have current active multistate state Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the state in which you live OR active single state RN license in good standing in the state you will be working with proof of application of a multistate RN license in the state in which you live Basic Life Support Heartsaver (BLS HS) (Non-Clinical) - American Heart Association (AHA) within 14 days Master Degree Nursing Experience in clinic specialty Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in patient care coordination, clinical education, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on evidence-based practices and performance improvement methodologies. Proficient in mentoring staff and implementing diverse teaching strategies to enhance clinical competencies.
