Accountant

As a Accountant for PCL Construction Management Inc. in Regina, Saskatchewan, you will support the Regina District with detailed data entry, transactional accounting tasks, and day‑to‑day financial administration that supports our project teams. Responsibilities Perform clerical and data entry support to meet contractual requirements for operational and basic accounting. Process all accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely and accurate manner. Provide project teams with ad‑hoc reports and analysis as needed. Assist with the assembly of information for internal and external financial reporting requirements. Assemble client billing packages in accordance with contract terms and conditions and ensure timely payment. Prepare bank deposits and cash receipt entries. Qualifications High school diploma. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field is considered an asset. Some student experience or 6 months to 1 year of accounting or administrative experience is preferred. Exposure to project forecasting and budgeting. Basic understanding of accounting principles, including maintenance of ledgers and cash flows. Exposure to project costing principles, recoveries, insurance, and contract/subcontract requirements as related to accounting. Exposure to subcontract purchase order terms, including insurance and subcontractor default insurance requirements. Basic understanding of lien rights. Ability to act with the required discretion when handling confidential information. Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software is an asset.
