Assistant Athletic Director - Facilities and Operations The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprising 14 women's and 10 men's programs, that compete at the Division I level as members of the Big Ten Conference. Posting Summary This position reports to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Facilities, Events, and Operations and leads the daily management and logistical oversight of all athletic venues. Responsibilities Support operations for Rodkin Academic Success Center, RWJBarnabas Health Athletic Performance Center, Hale Center, SHI Stadium (52,500 capacity), Jersey Mike's Arena (8,000 capacity), Yurcak Field (approx. 5,000 capacity), College Avenue Gym, and Sonny Werblin Recreation Center. Oversee day‑to‑day facility and operational needs of Division I athletic programs. Ensure all athletic venues consistently meet operational requirements while maintaining compliance with university policies, campus facility management guidelines, and applicable safety standards. Oversee select athletic events and special events, ensuring efficient event operations, venue logistics management, and a high‑quality game day and guest experience. Play a significant role in athletic facility management, including supporting capital improvement initiatives, facility upgrades, maintenance planning, and departmental project management efforts within the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics. Work Arrangement This position requires a fully on‑site work arrangement. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Five (5) years of experience working in an athletic department. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience in event management, facility management or similar. Skills in planning and organizing, integrating information, making decisions, and attaining results. Excellent communication skills. Computer literate. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Equipment Utilized Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Facility Scheduling programs (Team Works).
