Experienced Volkswagen Automotive Technician/Mechanic

THE ROLE

We’re looking for an experienced Volkswagen Technician who can hit the ground running — diagnosing complex issues, performing heavy‑duty repairs, and delivering work that meets VAG standards every time. Palo Alto is a high‑expectation market with guests who know their vehicles. This role is for a technician who knows theirs better.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Diagnose and perform complex mechanical and electrical repairs on Volkswagen vehicles using VAG diagnostic tools (ODIS, VAS) Execute heavy‑duty repairs including engine, transmission, suspension, and drivetrain work to factory standards Perform thorough multi‑point inspections and clearly document findings for service advisors and guests Identify and communicate additional repair needs accurately and transparently Stay current on VW technical service bulletins, software updates, and manufacturer repair procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards Collaborate with service advisors and the shop team to meet turnaround targets without compromising quality

WHAT YOU BRING

Required 2+ years of Volkswagen technician experience Ability to diagnose and perform heavy‑duty repairs independently Proficiency with VAG diagnostic tools including ODIS and VAS Strong understanding of VW mechanical and electrical systems Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Preferred Dealership experience in a franchised VW or VAG group environment VW or Audi manufacturer certification EV certification or hands‑on experience with Volkswagen electric vehicles (ID.4, ID. Buzz)
