BRINC is recruiting exceptional engineers to build the next generation of autonomous emergency-response technology, including flight-critical firmware and advanced pilot-assistance capabilities.Key Responsibilities:Use metrology equipment to ensure product performance for highly-complex hardware, including PCBAs, optics, harnessing, soldering, mechanical fastening, adhesives, etc.Report nonconformances when defective material is found and establish a process for containing all suspect material.Read/interpret work instructions and drawings to define and perform quality inspections.Perform critical in-process and final inspections for assembled products and subassemblies, including optics, PCBAs, precision machined components, and composite components.Partner with manufacturing technicians to implement sustainable corrective actions when defects are root caused.Qualifications:2+ Years as a technician in the aerospace, defense or medical industry2+ years of experience reading/interpreting work instructions, engineering drawings, and/or inspection plans2+ years of experience using hand tools2+ years of experience using calibrated tools, i.e. height gauges, calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, etc.2+ years of experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsPreferred Skills:Associate's Degree or higher2+ Years as a quality inspectorUnderstanding of SCAR and Nonconformance reports (NCR)Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) activitiesASQ Quality Inspector certification or similarCertified inspector to IPC-610Certified inspector to IPC-620Familiar with automated inspection equipment, including Romer arms, comparators, CMMs, and other metrology software based inspection methodsBRINC Culture Values:Try the hard stuffBe innovative - Invent the futureMove fastListen to end-usersStrive for excellenceDon't build a dystopiaBe frugalSave lives through technologyIf you're interested in this role and in joining BRINC, we hope you'll apply.
