Your Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough patient evaluations, recommending diagnostic testing, and developing tailored treatment plans
• Diagnosing and managing both acute and chronic illnesses in collaboration with other healthcare professionals or independently depending on your credentials
• Providing education to patients and families regarding preventative care, wellness strategies, and disease management

Education Needed

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Required

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in Hawaii
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to acquire them within 90 days)
