Job Summary
Immediate part-time (full-time in tax season) flexible position needed for CPA/Public Accountant for small Medina, MN CPA firm. We have been in business for 40 years, looking for someone to add to our team.
The position is seasonal, with majority of work from January 15th to April 15th and part time as needed after that. Current retiring employee in this position works 1,000 hours per year, with 80%+ of that during the tax season.
Must be knowledgeable in QuickBooks and tax software, including Microsoft Office; Ultra Tax experience a plus. Knowledge in putting together year end financials work is helpful. Tax experience is desired.
Compensation commensurate with experience, but ideally looking for a candidate with a minimum of 3-5 years of public accounting experience.
Job duties include administrative functions, individual and business tax preparation and review, information return preparation (1099’s, W-2’s, etc.), financial statement reviews and payroll.

Responsibilities
- Prepare clients accounting records using QuickBooks and or other software.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Reconcile accounts and review discrepancies to maintain precise financial data.
- Assist clients with accounting inquiries and support them in understanding financial reports.
- Prepare tax returns for S-Corporations, Partnerships and individuals.
- Administrative functions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting setting.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
