Position Overview Paragon Behavioral Health Center is seeking compassionate and skilled mental health therapists to join our dynamic team in Frederick, Maryland. Work Environment As a part of our outpatient office, you will have the flexibility to work remotely, ensuring a balance between professional obligations and personal commitments. Our team operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient schedules. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments that accurately identify the needs and preferences of each patient. Develop tailored treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy. Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing diverse techniques to address specific client needs. Lead psychoeducational workshops and support groups, promoting community and resource sharing among participants. Engage in crisis intervention and provide immediate support to clients experiencing acute mental health challenges. Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, available treatment options, and community resources to enhance their understanding and engagement. Document patient interactions and treatment progress accurately, following legal and ethical standards to ensure confidentiality. Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations to enhance collaborative efforts and share best practices. Continuously pursue professional development through workshops, trainings, and staying updated on the latest mental health research. Patient Population / Client Focus In your role as a mental health therapist, you will work with a varied client demographic, addressing a wide range of mental health conditions. Your patients may include individuals from different backgrounds, age groups, and levels of socio-economic status, each facing unique challenges. By providing personalized therapy and support, you will help clients navigate their mental health journeys while fostering their resilience and personal growth. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution. Current licensure as a mental health professional (LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland. Proficient understanding of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches. Demonstrated expertise in conducting assessments and creating comprehensive treatment plans. Experience in providing both individual and group therapy to a variety of client populations. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that foster positive therapist-client relationships. Ability to maintain professionalism and ethical boundaries in all aspects of practice. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technology. A collaborative spirit, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Experience Previous experience in outpatient behavioral health settings or community mental health services. Specific training in trauma-informed care or specialized therapeutic techniques is a plus. Experience facilitating psychoeducational groups relevant to specific mental health issues. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
