Participate on client engagements where you will develop an understanding of the entire engagement process and gain real-world accounting and business knowledgeMonitor accounts payable and accounts receivablePrepare daily receipts, monthly revenue intake sheets, spreadsheets files and inter-company reportsMonitor and ensure that all monthly transactions are accurately recordedParticipate in monthly, quarterly and yearly accounting cycles and prepare monthly financial statementsCoordinate JIB, revenue and other monthly accounting processesPerform monthly revenue related tasks and analysis, including monthly revenue close process and reconciliations related to deferred revenue accountsSupport external audit activitiesIdentify, measure and analyze dataLearn to communicate and proactively work with clients to build trust-based relationships and gather information needed to conduct assignments in an organized and efficient wayLearn how engagement budgets connect to firm financial results and how to manage your personal billable hours to engagement budgetsDevelop knowledge of the firm, including its professional capabilitiesParticipate in community organizations/events through volunteer and networking opportunitiesParticipate in professional development and training sessions throughout the yearParticipate in the firm’s annual performance management and goal setting processHow Will You Get Here? BA or Master’s in accounting or financial management with a graduation date of May 2026 or December 2026CPA eligibility or interest in pursuing CPA certification preferredFoundational knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards, specifically related to Oil & Gas Accounting through coursework or internships is a plusFamiliarity with ARO, Depletion, Impairment and other industry specific calculations preferred but not required; training will be providedProficiency in Microsoft Office ExcelExperience with WolfePak, Ogsys, or similar accounting software is a plus, but training will be providedA positive attitudeA professional appearance and demeanorAn eagerness to learn and acquire new skills and knowledgeExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsA strong work ethic, strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; responsible and self-motivatedOrganizational skills and ability to multi-taskStrong communication skills, both orally and in writingWhy Should You Apply?
