Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 (occasionally 1:5). Charge nurse available on every shift without patient assignment. Highlights: 25-bed private room unit specializing in medical/telemetry with swing bed program Patient population includes COPD exacerbations, CHF, wound care, long-term antibiotics, post-partum, and pediatrics Central telemetry monitoring with portable monitors; support from case managers, nurse aides, and unit clerks 24/7 lab services, in-house pharmacy until 11:00 PM weekdays, and excellent therapy services Meditech Expanse charting system and Alaris pumps Comprehensive four-day orientation including classroom training and preceptorship Requirements: Active RN license in Nebraska or compact license Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical or Telemetry unit Previous experience working in a Critical Access Hospital required BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association) certification required; PALS preferred Experience with Meditech Expanse charting system preferred Reliable personal transportation required (ride-sharing services not available in this area) Must complete comprehensive credentialing requirements including background checks, health screenings, and immunizations Why Join Us?
