Job Title Registered Nurse – Patient Care Unit (IMC/PCU/Stepdown) Location Alliance, NE Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a 25-bed acute care unit serving a diverse patient population including COPD exacerbation, CHF, swing bed, post-partum, and pediatric patients Manage patient assignments at a 1:4 ratio (1:5 stretch) under the support of a non-patient-carrying Charge Nurse on every shift Perform accurate and timely documentation using Meditech Expanse; operate Alaris infusion pumps Monitor patients via central telemetry and portable telemetry monitors, responding to changes in patient condition Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including Case Managers, Social Services, Therapy, Lab, and Pharmacy to coordinate patient care Float to the Emergency Department in a task nurse capacity as needed Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit Previous experience working in a Critical Access Hospital setting Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association Reliable personal transportation (rideshare services are not available in this area) Willingness to wear Navy Blue scrubs per unit dress code Preferred Experience / Skills PALS certification (American Heart Association) Experience with swing bed patients, wound care, or long-term antibiotic administration Familiarity with Meditech Expanse charting system and Alaris infusion pumps Why Join Us Work in a well-supported unit with 24/7 Lab services, robust Therapy coverage, dedicated Case Managers, and consistent Charge Nurse presence on every shift Structured orientation program including classroom training and a preceptored shift to set you up for success Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 774198.
