Unit Secretary - Neuro Surgery (FT Nights)

Location: Barnes Jewish Hospital
Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM 3 days per week. Every 3rd weekend. Rotating Holidays
Overview Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Recognizing its excellence in nursing care, Barnes-Jewish Hospital was the first adult hospital in Missouri to be certified as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose The Unit Secretary performs clerical duties supporting the operations of the patient care team. Responsibilities Supports the clinical operations by providing customer service and clerical support.
Transcribes physician orders as appropriate with close attention to detail.
Notifies appropriate nurse when STAT orders are written or when coordinating tests and procedures. Communicates new orders to the healthcare team as appropriate. Minimum Requirements Education High School Diploma or GED Experience No Experience Supervisor Experience No Experience
