The position requires an active RN license and current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in community adult and pediatric emergency care. This is a busy community emergency room and stroke center, where you will encounter a wide range of patient diagnoses. The role involves staffing at patient ratios of 4:1, with potential for 5:1 during high census periods. Weekend shifts will be variable, requiring 5-6 weekend shifts over a 6-week schedule. There is no on-call requirement, but staff may choose to pick up extra shifts if desired.
