Location: Henry Ford Neurosurgery - Jackson Medical Center, 1201 E Michigan Ave #300

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm; No weekends or holidays

 

Department/Position Overview:

Located within Henry Ford Medical Center - Jackson, the Nurse Supervisor, Ambulatory Neurosciences provides operational and clinical leadership for nursing staff and medical assistants supporting Neurosurgery, Neurology, Pain Management, and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) services. The position oversees approximately 30 direct reports and supports a high-volume outpatient environment focused on delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

This role is responsible for staff engagement, scheduling, workflow optimization, quality improvement initiatives, performance management, and daily clinic operations. Working closely with providers, leadership, and support staff, the Nurse Supervisor fosters a collaborative culture while driving operational excellence, process improvement, and positive patient outcomes. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential for success in this dynamic ambulatory setting.

 

Role Overview

As a Registered Nurse - Clinic/Department Supervisor, you will provide clinical leadership and supervisory support to a team of healthcare professionals, including RNs, MAs, and LPNs. This role is essential in ensuring the delivery of quality patient care, fostering a supportive practice environment, and contributing to the overall success of the clinic/department.

What You Will Do

• Provide first-line management and clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team.
• Coordinate and deliver compassionate patient care using the nursing process.
• Delegate, supervise, and document nursing care and patient education.
• Collaborate with the Nurse Manager and healthcare team to maintain a quality practice setting.
• Participate in planning and budget development for the clinic/department.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS or ACLS certification per Henry Ford Health policy.
• Two to three (2-3) years of nursing experience in a clinical environment.
• Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory Orientation.

• Leadership experience.
