Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective patient management throughout the childbirth process.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery.
• Administer medications and interventions as ordered by the physician.
• Support and educate patients and their families regarding labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Document all clinical findings, patient responses, and procedures accurately.
• Assist in emergency procedures and maintain a sterile environment.
• Coordinate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Valid Labor and Delivery certification (e.g., NRP, OB certification).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• Strong knowledge of obstetric protocols and neonatal care.
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills.
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
