Executive Director, Data Center Programs & Strategy - AI/HPC

DescriptionA private, investment-backed technology organization is building a large-scale AI and high-performance computing (HPC) data center platform. We are hiring an Executive Director to lead program execution and strategic delivery across data center development initiatives, translating business objectives into disciplined outcomes across schedule, capital deployment, and cross-functional alignment.This is an executive business leadership role for someone who thrives in complex, schedule-driven environments. You will partner closely with engineering and operations leaders, establish governance and performance mechanisms, and drive delivery across multiple workstreams and external partners.What You’ll TackleOwn end-to-end program leadership for data center development from concept through steady-state operationsBuild and execute a multi-phase delivery roadmap aligned to AI/HPC growth objectivesDrive schedules, milestones, and delivery accountability across engineering, construction, and operationsEstablish program governance, KPIs, reporting cadences, and decision forumsLead business case development and identify opportunities to improve capital efficiency and financial outcomesManage external partners (EPCM, key vendors, delivery partners, third-party providers)Drive operating model and process development to enable scalable deliveryEnsure program readiness across safety, regulatory, and compliance requirementsWhat You Bring10+ years leading large, complex infrastructure or technology programs (data centers, energy, industrial environments)Demonstrated success in capital-intensive, schedule-driven delivery organizationsStrong executive communication and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical teamsAbility to lead through influence and ambiguity, creating structure and execution rigorBachelor’s degree requiredNice to HaveMBA or equivalentExperience supporting AI/HPC infrastructure organizationsExposure to power generation, energy strategy, or critical facility operationsHow We WorkHigh ownership, clear accountability, and measurable outcomesCross-functional partnership with engineering, operations, finance, procurement, and leadershipBias toward operational rigor: cadence, metrics, and decision discipline
