Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 20 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel ```htmlJob Opportunity – Progressive Care / Stepdown RN – Georgia Start Date: September 14, 2026 Location: Georgia Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour shifts with typical every-other-weekend rotation; patient ratio 1:5-6 on weekdays, 1:6 on weekends; 32-bed unit; floating within facility and scope of practice as needed; call is rare with 2-hour response time Highlights: Progressive care overflow unit supporting intermediate cardiac, medical-surgical, and stepdown patient populations Experience managing continuous IV medications required, including cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin), anticoagulants (Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin), diuretics, and insulin drips Epic EMR system (preferred), Pyxis medication management, SBAR communication protocols Diverse case mix: arrhythmia management, cardioversion, CHF, chest pain, renal and pulmonary conditions, post-cardiac cath care, DKA, TR bands, surgical overflow Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; holiday work required based on assignment period Requirements: Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission Minimum 2 years of progressive care or stepdown nursing experience required Prior travel nursing experience mandatory – first-time travelers not accepted Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Demonstrated competency managing continuous IV cardiac drips, anticoagulants, diuretics, and insulin infusions (hard stop requirement) Experience with adult to geriatric patient populations Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, arrhythmia interpretation and management, hemodynamic monitoring, and post-PCI patient care Epic charting experience strongly preferred Full compliance documentation required prior to start date to avoid delay Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers experienced progressive care nurses the opportunity to expand their clinical expertise across a diverse patient population in a well-supported environment.
