Quality Control Specialist (FDA / Food Industry/Pharma)

Onsite | Full-Time

We are partnering with a growing company in the food industry seeking a Quality Control Specialist to support compliance and product quality across a global network of vendors and farms. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented who understands FDA regulations and enjoys working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain FSVP (Foreign Supplier Verification Program) documentation to ensure compliance with FDA regulations
• Work closely with international vendors and farms to verify product quality and documentation requirements
• Track incoming shipments and ensure QC documentation is complete prior to arrival
• Review and manage FDA/USDA holds, releases, and compliance issues
• Perform receiving inspections, including sampling and QC reporting
• Evaluate vendor samples and ensure adherence to quality standards
• Investigate and resolve vendor and customer claims, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and compliance documentation
• Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, warehouse, and production teams to support operations

Qualifications:

• Fully bilingual (English/Spanish)
• 2+ years of quality control experience in FDA-regulated environments (food or pharma preferred)
• Experience working with global suppliers, vendors, or farms is a plus
• Basic knowledge of SAP and Excel (ERP training provided)
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills
• Ability to problem-solve and work cross-functionally

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $45,000 – $55,000+ (flexible based on experience)
• 75% employer-paid health coverage (medical, dental, vision)
• 401(k) with 3% company contribution
• Vacation and personal days
