The Director of Account Management is a strategic and emerging senior leader responsible for advancing key utility accounts while supporting and elevating the broader account management function. This role blends visionary leadership with hands-on execution, driving account growth, retention, and innovation across a portfolio of utility clients.As both a people leader and business strategist, this individual will guide teams, shape account strategies, and build executive relationships while identifying trends and opportunities that unlock incremental value across accounts and the organization.What You’ll Do:Define and execute forward-looking account strategies aligned with utility industry trends and client objectives, building roadmaps that drive measurable outcomesImplement structured account planning frameworks to drive consistency, scalability, and cross-account revenue opportunitiesLead, mentor, and manage a team of account managers, fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous learningActively develop talent by raising performance expectations, coaching for growth, and building capability in less-tenured team membersAllocate and prioritize team resources effectively to maximize portfolio impactPartner closely with internal stakeholders across product, sales, and operations to create integrated value for utility partnersOversee and grow a portfolio of strategic utility accounts, driving strong retention, expansion, and solution innovationLead Quarterly Business Reviews to communicate performance, insights, and future opportunities to partnersOwn and develop executive-level relationships within utility organizations, serving as a trusted advisor and senior representativeInfluence senior stakeholders through compelling presentations, strategic guidance, and thought leadership at industry conferencesLead contract negotiations for new and expanded solutions, partnering cross-functionally on pricing, marketing, and deliveryAct as a culture carrier and brand ambassador, reinforcing company values internally and externally while building an inclusive team environmentWhat We’re Looking For:8+ years of experience in account management, client services, or related roles, with utility sector exposure preferredProven experience managing strategic accounts and leading high-performing teamsStrong commercial acumen, including contract negotiation and revenue growth strategiesDemonstrated success influencing senior stakeholders and driving cross-functional alignmentExperience developing account strategies and scaling client solutionsAbility to define direction and translate strategy into executionStrong understanding of utility operations, regulations, and market dynamics to guide strategic decisionsAbility to gain buy-in and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to spot patterns across accounts to inform growth strategiesExperience connecting ideas and initiatives across teams to create client valueConfident communicator who effectively engages and influences senior leadershipCompensation:Total Cash Compensation Range: $130,000 - $160,000 per yearThis role is eligible for a target bonus, which is included in the Total Cash Compensation Range above. This role is also eligible for Equity, which is offered separately from the Total Cash Compensation Range listed above.
