Medical Laboratory Scientist II – Blood Bank / Transfusion Medicine
~ Chapel Hill, NC
~ Part-Time | 40 Hours/Week | 10-Hour Shifts
~ Competitive Pay + $10,000 Sign-On Bonus
Requirements: - J
MLS/MT (ASCP or AMT) or MLT (ASCP or AMT) Certification
Bachelor's Degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science, Chemical Science, or Biological Science; OR Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
Blood Bank/Transfusion Medicine experience required
Required Experience:
Type & Screen
Antibody Identification
DAT
Eluate
Phenotyping
Antigen Typing
MTP Protocols
Emergency Release Procedures
Blood Product Modifications (Irradiation & Syringe Aliquots)
Responsibilities:
Perform complex laboratory testing and quality control
Troubleshoot instruments, specimens, and test results
Maintain laboratory standards and documentation
Support training and mentoring initiatives
Serve as a technical resource within the laboratory
