Self-Funded Account Manager The Self-Funded Account Manager will manage and service large self-funded EB accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, and delivering tailored solutions that align with their business needs. The role involves acting as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships with clients while collaborating with internal teams to provide exceptional service. How You'll Make An Impact Serve as the primary point of contact for self-funded clients, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and vendors. Analyze client data, claims, and trends to provide strategic recommendations and cost‑containment solutions. Collaborate with internal teams, including production, to design and implement customized self-funded insurance programs. Conduct regular client meetings to review plan performance, financials, and compliance updates. Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging solutions in the self-funded space. Assist in the renewal process, including negotiating terms with carriers and vendors. Provide training and education to clients on self-funded plan management and compliance requirements. Maintain monthly reporting and deliverables. Compensation The target salary range for this position is $50,000 to $70,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market data. Geographic location may also impact compensation. About You Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, risk management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 3 years of experience in self-funded account management, employee benefits, or a related field. Strong knowledge of self-funded insurance plans, stop-loss coverage, and claims management. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Proficiency in analyzing data and presenting actionable insights to clients. Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively. Relevant certifications (e.g., CEBS, RHU, or similar) are a plus.
