Coalition Glass Company, a division of Enclos, specializes in providing glazing and cladding solutions for a wide range of project sizes, while maintaining the highest standard of quality, detail, and execution.

We are seeking an Estimator to join our growing preconstruction team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analyzing construction documents, solving complex challenges, and developing accurate project budgets that help bring extraordinary buildings to life. Working closely with Sales and Operations teams, you will play a critical role in evaluating the project opportunities, developing quantity takeoffs, soliciting vendor pricing, and preparing competitive proposals for unitized and stick-build faade systems throughout the country.

Works directly with Sales and Operations in developing takeoffs, RFQs and proposals for project pursuits.

• Analyzes all project bid documents to understand and communicate the project scope, schedule and general requirements to the bid team.
• Prepares a complete quantity survey for specific project scope.
• Prepares a complete and accurate cost estimate for the project scope as required
• Prepare vendor RFQ's for the solicitation of quotations as required for the preparation of the cost estimate.
• Reviews vendor quotations for accuracy, completeness and conformity with the bid documents.
• Update vendors with plans, specifications and addenda.
• Prepares scope drawings to communicate to clients and vendors the proper scope.
• Assist operations with post-award takeoffs, buyouts and addenda pricing as required
• Increase estimating effectiveness by achieving assigned goals; meeting deadlines and commitments, accepting responsibility for decisions; and developing new skills and knowledge.
• Follows best practices, helping best practices evolve further and share experiences and learning with others in the organization.
• Remains current on new technology.
• Performs additional assignments as requested by direct supervisor

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year College or University.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents including drawings, specifications and bid instructions.
• Experience in curtainwall, glazing, facades, cladding, building envelope, or architectural metals preferred.
• Strong general computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam Revu, ACAD, Navisworks, and Revit
• Strong spatial aptitude
• Strong independent worth ethic and organizational skills
• Must have the ability to meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail

Compensation:

At the Enclos family of companies, compensation is determined based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. The successful candidate for the Estimator role in Bloomington, MN can expect to earn $60,000 to $80,000 per year. This position is also eligible to participate in the company's incentive bonus plan.
