redit Officer - Project Finance & Commodity Finance

We are supporting a leading global investment bank in its search for an experienced Credit Officer to join its Real Assets credit-risk team in New York. The position will independently assess and monitor transactions across Project Finance and Infrastructure, including renewables, data centers, and other essential infrastructure, as well as Trade and Sustainable Commodity Finance. Responsibilities: Assess complex project, infrastructure, trade, and commodity-finance transactions. Analyze obligor performance, transaction structures, repayment capacity, and key credit risks. Approve transactions within delegated authority or prepare recommendations for senior approval. Validate obligor risk ratings, LGDs, and other relevant credit-risk parameters. Monitor portfolio credit quality, identify emerging risks, and participate in watch-list reviews. Evaluate collateral, covenants, and structural protections. Track relevant credit, commodity, and financing-market developments. Support portfolio reporting for senior risk management and regulators. Contribute to credit policies, risk appetite, and new-business initiatives. Partner closely with business, legal, compliance, and other risk teams. Requirements: At least seven years of relevant experience in banking, credit risk, underwriting, or portfolio management. Direct experience in non-recourse project and infrastructure finance or in structured trade and commodity finance; exposure to both areas is strongly preferred. Knowledge of relevant sectors such as renewable energy, power, data centers, transportation, energy, metals, or agriculture. Strong understanding of credit and counterparty risk, transaction structures, and portfolio monitoring. Experience assessing complex transactions and presenting credit recommendations to senior decision-makers or committees. Knowledge of the US banking market and applicable regulatory practices. Strong financial analysis, judgment, writing, and stakeholder-management skills. Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities independently.
