Senior Products & Services Specialist

Job SummaryThis position is responsible for non-supervisory leadership in one or more aspects of the management and operation of Duke Energy products, programs, and services. The role accurately manages performance indicators, owns and coordinates program activities, presents information, and completes assigned tasks supporting successful business operations. Responsibilities Financial Management & Goal Attainment Deliver on expected P&L, financial growth targets, and customer satisfaction scores. Develop, communicate, and execute long‑term/annual program plans and market and segment plans to deliver financial results for each jurisdiction. Review monthly financials for accuracy and analyze significance of results; provide P&L forecasts. Review, validate, and process invoices, purchase orders, and purchase requisitions. Develop tracking systems to monitor program analytics, customer satisfaction, and earnings growth goals. Prepare draft accrual submissions. Operational Management Provide support to and respond to requests from matrix‑relationship program and/or product & service managers. Set strategies and plans that focus on customer needs and allocate budget and resources appropriately. Develop, manage, and maintain program documentation of performance and standard operating procedures. Prepare summaries of findings to implement actionable improvements. Understand and monitor issues impacting offerings, including financial challenges, regulatory constraints, and technology standards. Formulate recommendations to address negative impacts and present proposals for modifications. Implement tools, software, and processes for customer relationship management and vendor information exchange. Consider and act upon regulatory requirements where applicable. Marketing, Sales & Acquisition Analyze market research results. Identify and implement promotional and sales strategies to expand accessibility of offerings. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement marketing campaigns for new and existing offerings. Measure and analyze performance to lower cost per acquisition. Track leads generated by campaigns and ensure timely follow‑up. Evaluate key performance indicators to improve lead generation and close rates. Develop and execute initiatives to improve the effectiveness of convenient service channels. Business & Vendor Relationship Management Support development of vendor relationships, including creating Statements of Work. Manage vendor relationships as a business owner, overseeing contract terms, compliance, performance standards, quality, timeliness, and invoicing. Conduct meetings and calls to monitor performance and identify issues. Adjust vendor obligations as conditions change. Business Innovation Develop product, program, and service enhancements to improve market effectiveness. Participate in product development initiatives. Basic / Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 2 years related work experience. Or a High School diploma/GED with a minimum of 7 years related work experience. Desired Qualifications Experience in marketing and sales of products and services. Vendor management experience. Experience promoting products and services to customers and vendors. Knowledge of the corporation’s business objectives, products, pricing, and markets. Comprehensive financial and business acumen. Business operation experience. Understanding of utility regulatory environment. Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, conflict resolution, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently. Strong analytical, problem‑identification, and resolution skills. Experience working in a team environment within a matrixed organization. Ability to interpret data and implement program improvements. Leverage subject matter experts and resources effectively. Working Conditions Hybrid mobility classification – work performed from both remote and onsite locations after onboarding. Hybrid employees should live within a reasonable daily commute to the designated Duke Energy facility. 3 days a week in office. Office environment with daily travel, including overnight travel and site visits as needed. Travel requirements: 15‑25%. Valid driver’s license required.
